Born in the USA in 1969, the year which ultimately led to IDMi as we know it today, The Microfilm Newsletter did exactly what was implied by the title. Laterally know as the HyBrid Systems and Micrographics Newsletter, the publication eventually merged with the UK publication The Micrographics Marketplace in 2001 to form The Green Sheet.
