Where it all Began

My music tastes are eclectic to say the least. My parents introduced me to the sheer beauty of classical, and the Glenn Miller era. In my youth I introduced myself to many genres of music, as well as all the other things a teenager gets introduced to.

My first try at composing was producing dance/trance tracks in the 90's. At one point I had a single, a CD album and a double CD album. (The latter being a full 2 hour full program of aerobic warm-up, activity, wind-down music.)

I loved it all.

Sadly, all of this music was lost over time due to equipment upgrades, hard drive failures, and software obsolescence.

Late in 2022 I reintroduced myself to composition and produced a test piece meant to accompany end-titles for a fictitious sci-fi film I called Parallel Universe. I had difficulty getting listeners to appreciate what the music for, so to put it in context I invested in video edit software and put a story together to match the music.

The project grew arms, legs, and a second head as well. 2023 will see me reimagine the video using new-found AI imaging technology to bolster the story. Parallel Universe II - The Movie.

What you will find on this page is a mix (pun intended) of my own stuff, as well as links to certain relevant musicians who have inspired me to raise my game.

4 Bar Ambience

Part of a suite of ambient/easy listening/relaxation music I am working on, for this track I have attempted changes on multiples of 4. Not being trained in music I have just applied those changes where they feel right to me.
Let me know if this works for you or not.

Inspiration

'4 Bar Ambience' draws inspiration from both Mike Oldfield's 'Tubular Bells' album, (which helped launch the Virgin record label,) and the track 'No Man's Land', from the awesome album by David Holmes, 'This Film's Crap Let's Slash the Seats'.
